“Future Perfect” Lifts Off with Self Titled Debut Album
Northeast Ohio, May 2nd 2026- After five years of incubation, the Northeast Ohio musical collective, “Future Perfect” is releasing their first album. Written by front man, David L. Munnell and Zachary Palumbo (keys), “Future Perfect” collects Ryan Bisset (bass) from Warren, OH, Dave Humphries (drums) from Youngstown, OH, Noah Hrbeck (guitar) from Cleveland, OH, and Jonah Raider-Roth (synth) from Cleveland, OH to form a sound that has been describedas “theatrical space rock.” Taking cues from the velvet underground and artists of the 70’s and 80’s, “Future Perfect” seeks to mix a punk sound with more modern jazz and progressive fusion to create a blend of theatrics and music.
“When writing these pieces, I wanted to explore a very personal experience regarding unrequited love and the process to move on,” explains front man, David who, taking a cue from David Bowie, goes by “the Cosmonaut” in this piece. “Coming out of the lockdown of the pandemic, it was important to me that I move away from traditional performance institutions and focus on asymmetrical storytelling utilizing theatrics and music. To that end, I reached out to Zach to help me finish up the piece to create a meditation on love lost and the journey to move on using the Cold War space race as a brief backdrop.”
