Moon Cactus is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer, with the trumpet as his primary instrument. Moon Cactus' compositions blend elements of pop punk, jazz, hip-hop, and rock, forming a distinct alternative pop sound. The Succulent in Chief's songs come from personal experience, exploring themes of mental health, expectations, and love. Inspired by boundary-pushing artists like Anderson .Paak (a fellow multi-instrumentalist), Moon Cactus strives to redefine live performance by moving fluidly between trumpet and guitar while singing, rapping, and leading the show.
